Crust Comes First

At Top Pizza, crust is not a checkbox — it is the pizza’s identity. Margherita only exists as a Thin Crust. The Motor City only exists as a Detroit square. Each family is built, sauced, and cheesed its own way, which is why the menu is organized by crust before anything else.

Pan Pizza — The Numbered Classics

The hand-tossed Pan pies are the backbone of the house: the numbered classics our regulars order by number. Each one carries our homemade Signature Pizza Sauce and 100% real mozzarella on fresh-made dough. Pan and Featured pizzas come in three sizes — see the sizes FAQ.

Featured Pizza — The Signature Pies

The Featured board is where the loaded signature pies live — Louis’ Special, Top Special, All Meat, and company. They are Pan pies at heart, stacked heavier and named for the people and stories behind them.

Thin Crust — The Italian Line

The Thin Crust family is our Italian-style line: Margherita, Diavola, and Prosciutto & Mushroom. These bake on a crisp, light base with Light Tomato Sauce and fresh mozzarella. One size, no compromises.

Detroit Deep Dish — The Square Ones

Added in 2022, the Detroit family bakes square and deep: 8 Mile, The Motor City, and Traditional Red. Detroit pies run their own Pizza Sauce with fresh mozzarella and cheddar — a different build from anything else in the house. Single size, big presence.

Build Your Own

Both Pan and Thin Crust come in Build Your Own form: pick your toppings from the full board, and split half-and-half if the table cannot agree. See the Build Your Own tip for how regulars do it.
